WALT write a text  that will persuade others

I think New Zealand should adopt the Silver Fern Flag

Reasons why:

• really like the different blue.

• I really like the idea of having a icon on the flag.

• I think the black represent the past.

• I like keeping the southern cross on our flag

In my opinion New Zealand should change the flag and these are the reasons why:

Australia’s flag is way too similar, people are way too confused and we value different things than Australia. So if we change people will easily recognise the New Zealand flag.

The new flag is easier to spot with a brighter blue and red so in the sky it is way easier to see and you could see it in darker weather .

The Union Jack does not represent New Zealand but the silver fern does and we want to be more independent because now we have all sorts of countries living here now not just Britain.

I personally think we should change the flag because the quicker we get it the quicker it  will stop all the fights over the flag.
